The NSW Government have released details on a new assistance package known as the Accommodation Support Grant. This grant is aimed at providing financial support to the Accommodation sector for providers who experienced booking cancellations between Friday, 25th of June 2021 - Sunday, 11th of July 2021.
Currently there are two different grant amounts available:
$2,000 for cancellations of 10 nights or less
$5,000 for cancellations of 11 nights or more
Each property will be eligible for one application, therefore if you have multiple accommodation properties you will be able to submit an application for each property.
Eligibility
Be an eligible business as defined by the ANZSIC codes in the guidelines
Have accommodation premises physically located in NSW
Have an active ABN held before 25 June 2021, which is registered for GST
Be able to show evidence of cancellations between Friday, 25th of June 2021 and Sunday, 11th of July 2021
If you operate a private residence such as an Airbnb or short-stay accommodation rental, you can claim the grant if:
You meet the eligibility requirements above
The income from the holiday accommodation is your primary income
