It's that time of year again, time to complete your Tax Return! If you're feeling a bit overwhelmed, here are the answers to a few frequently asked questions to help you get started.
What Information Do I Need to Supply?
PAYG Summaries & Income Statements (we can usually obtain these from the ATO for you)
Dividend statements (if applicable)
Interest received (if applicable)
Any deductions relating to work
Last years accounting fees
Rental property income & expenses (if applicable)
How Can My Tax Return Be Lodged If I Work Full Time?
We offer a correspondence service, where you can email through your information and documents. Once your Accountant has prepared your Tax Summary, we will then send it to you to sign and return. After we have received your signed Summary, we will be able to lodge your Tax Return.
How Can I Pay My Accounting Fees?
If you're eligible for a refund on your Tax Return, we can deduct your Accounting fees from your Return. This is referred to as Fee From Refund. If you have an amount payable to the ATO, you may pay your fees upfront or arrange a payment plan with us.
How Long Will It Take To Receive My Refund?
Once your Tax Return has been lodged the ATO will usually pay your refund in about a week. It can take up to 14 days to process your Tax Return but if it takes longer then this please contact our office and we can follow it up with the ATO.
