In an effort to support the jobs of workers within the residential construction industry, the Morrison Government have introduced the HomeBuilder Scheme.
The HomeBuilder Scheme is a $25,000 grant provided to eligible owner-occupiers to build a new home or substantially renovate an existing home. To be eligible for the grant, the below criteria is considered:
Your income must be below the capped amount ($125,000 for singles and $200,000 for couples)
The value of the new land and building must be below $750,000
The value of the new renovation must be between $150,000 to $750,000 for an existing home valued under $1.5 million before the works
Construction of a new home or substantial renovation must commence within three months of the contract date
